When we say this party was next-level, we mean it. Charlotte’s magical b’mitzvah celebration, Jardin de Charlotte, was not just a party. It was a transportive experience that swept more than 300 guests away to a lush Parisian Garden for one unforgettable evening. Hosted at The Temple in November 2024 and planned by Mireille Naturman of Unique Eventures, this epic night recently took home the award for Best Team Social Event at the Allie Awards, which honors the best work and most innovative professionals in Georgia’s events industry.
From Trust to Triumph
Planning Charlotte’s b’mitzvah was especially meaningful for Mireille. Charlotte’s parents had worked with a different planner for their older two children’s b’mitzvahs. This meant Mireille had to gain their trust, understand their vision, and build a completely new creative direction for their third and youngest daughter’s milestone event. The goal was to offer a unique experience for all guests and to ensure that Charlotte's event was different from her siblings and a magical moment for all to enjoy. After some early brainstorming and a mid-process pivot just five months before the big day, the team landed on a concept Charlotte adored: a whimsical, French floral garden. It was bright, feminine, and oh-so-Charlotte.
Setting the Scene: Paris in Atlanta
Thanks to a four-hour setup window and a massive team of dedicated vendors, the transformation of the synagogue social hall was breathtaking!
Guests were greeted by a dazzling hostess dressed in a champagne skirt, offering bubbly to set the celebratory mood. From there, every step of the evening carried the guests deeper into Charlotte’s Garden.
The space was uplifted with soft pink sheer draping that softened the massive room into an intimate, glowing garden. Framed bar facades with scalloped edges matched the sweet Parisian cafe look, while toile banquettes and umbrellas created a charming lounge area under hanging trellises of flowers inspired by Parisian parks. Pink velvet chairs, a glossy white dance floor, and pink and white striped toile accents kept the look cohesive and chic.
A bubblegum-pink vintage phone booth doubled as a photo booth, complete with custom photo prints matching the night's signature stripes. Napkins, guest towels, and even hand sanitizer bottles carried the event’s custom logo.
A Culinary Wonderland
It wouldn’t be a French garden without a feast! Charlotte’s menu provided guests with a practically endless array of creatively presented delights:
Later in the night, even more surprises rolled out: a late-night fry and tot cart wheeled onto the dance floor and grilled cheese sandwiches were served for the ride home.
And let's not forget dessert! After the main meal, a Marie Antoinette-inspired performer passed out ice cream sandwiches and invited guests to partake of a full French patisserie featuring a buffet of sweets.
Charlotte and her friends were treated to special touches too: boxed meals ready upon arrival so they could fuel up before hitting the dance floor, and a cotton candy cart.
Nonstop Energy: The Dance Floor
With an electrifying entertainment team -- dual MCs (one a finalist from American Ninja Warrior!), an internationally acclaimed DJ, a giant LED wall, and four professional dancers, the energy never dropped.
The two MCs vibed off each other all night long, ensuring the dance floor stayed packed from the first beat to the final song. Lighting cues, moving graphics, spark fountains, and CO2 cannons came together to make the room pulse with energy and excitement.
Custom Swag Scene
One of the event’s biggest hits was the epic swag drops throughout the night:
A Labor of Love
For Mireille, Unique Eventures, and all the talented partners who brought this vision to life, Jardin de Charlotte wasn’t just an event; it was a heartful collaboration between vendors, a family’s leap of trust, and a celebration of what happens when clear vision, flawless teamwork, and next-level creativity come together.
As Mireille shared, “I always say my clients become my friends, and my vendors become my family. I am forever grateful.”
Congratulations to Unique Eventures and the entire vendor team on a well-deserved ALLIE Award win. And even bigger congrats to Charlotte and her family on a milestone celebration they (and all their guests!) will never forget.
