11 months out:
____ Meet with caterers
____ Book hotel. Where are your out-of-town guests staying? Get a room block and hospitality room.
10 months out:
____ Decide your plans for Friday night dinner, Saturday kiddush and Sunday brunch
____ Meet decorators and get decor proposals (have a theme in mind or a general look you want; offer some photos of events that you love). Book a decorator.
____ Choose someone to create photo montage and begin sorting your photos
9 months out:
____ Book a videographer
____ Firm up decor plans
8 months out:
____ Start looking at invites
____ Send or email a save-the-date card to out-of-towners
____ Select any speciality entertainment (green screen, photo booth, caricaturist, etc)
____ Do you need transportation?
7 months out:
____ Discuss the menu
____ Firm up your guest list with addresses
6 months out:
____ Order invitations
____ Order kippot
____ Review decor proposal
____ Firm up Friday night dinner, Saturday kiddush and Sunday brunch plans
5 months out:
____ Look into favors
____ Shop for a tallit
4 months out:
____ Book photo sittings
3 months out:
____ Order favors and personalized napkins
____ Finish collecting/organizing your montage photos
____ Weigh your invite and purchase appropriate postage
____ Get organized on hospitality room and hospitality bags
____ Confirm hair/make-up schedule
2 months out:
____ Mail invitations – it’s official now!!
____ Finalize catering plan and floor plan
1 month out:
____ Make sure your clothes are altered/clean/ready
____ Make table assignments
____ Create list of photos for photographer

____ Firm up details with ALL vendors
Day of event:
